IHSA CLASS 1A ST. BEDE REGIONAL The Rebels Cross Country teams participated in the IHSA Class 1A St. Bede Regional Saturday (October 20). On chilly and extremely windy morning, the Girls team finished 2nd to advanced to the Oregon Sectional while the Boys finished 8th missing advancing by a mere 4 points. In the Girls race, Josie Price ((21:16) was the first Girl across the finish line coming in 5th to earn a metal for a top 5 finish. Completing the scoring for the Girls were Ashley Orrick (21:27 - 6th), Olivia Frail (22:08 - 10th), Lena Becker (22:37 - 16th) and Trinity Shimmin (23:38 - 29th). Sarah Fairfield (25:10 - 35th) and Alyssa Dyken (25:10 - 36th) were the Girls 6th and 7th runners. On the Boys side, Dawson Dyken (20:25 - 30th) edged Riley Down (20:27 - 31th) to become the first Boys finisher. Dawson missed advancing to the Sectional by 5 seconds. Rounding out the scoring for the Boys were Alex Welch (20:56 - 39th), Caden Daum (22:57 - 68th) and Jack Winans (23:01 - 69th). Payton Stahl (23:01 - 70th) and Colby Carroll (23:43 - 79th) were other two runners for the Boys. There were 66 finishers in the Girls race and 90 in the Boys race.
